Media convention offers fellowships for young journalists

(European Youth Press) Young European journalists are invited to share their knowledge and experiences on using media at a conference in Helsinki.

From October 26 - 30, participants will engage in conversation about intercultural youth dialogue and other topics that they find inspiring. Hosted by the European Youth Parliament Finland, this five-day informal convention is for journalists between the ages of 18 and 26 years old and will take place at the Happi Youth Media Centre in Helsinki.

Deadline for application is July 3.

The International Federation of Journalists is the global voice of journalists. It was formed in 1926 and today is the world’s largest organisation of journalists, working across all sectors and representing more than 600,000 news staff in unions and associations of journalists from 120 countries.

The Ethical Journalism Initiative is a global campaign of programmes and activities to support and strengthen quality in media. It was adopted by the World Congress of the IFJ in Moscow in 2007 and was formally launched in 2008.
