Latin American and Caribbean journalists can compete for reporting prizes

(IJNET)Latin American and Caribbean journalists have until April 15 to apply for the new edition of the Latin American prize for investigative journalism, that will award a total of US$30,000 in prizes.

The competition aims to promote investigative journalism in Latin America on matters of public interest, transparency in the business sector and in the media, public expenditure, and other complex topics that impact citizens. Print, broadcast, and digital or electronic works must have been published or broadcast between January 1 and December 31, 2009.
