Around 20 legal experts and human rights activitists from National Human Rights Institutions in Europe gathered in Brussels for a two-day training course on "Freedom of Expression and Equality".
The training course was jointly organised by the ARTICLE 19 and the International/European Federation of Journalists as part of a European campaign called "Ethical Journalism Initiative" to fight discrimination. It aims to identify the common challenges to the promotion of diversity, pluralism and intercultural understanding across EU Member State; and to promote understanding of what intercultural dialogue requires in practices, particularly the responsibilites of state actors, the media and civil society.
